Still in town? Hooray! Join us at 10 a.m. for bagels and other pastries, fruit, coffee and more catching up in the Presidio East Meadow picnic area. Or just kick back and watch the world sail by -- views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, and the City skyline. We'll be at the picnic tables, but you can also bring beach towels or beach chairs or enjoy the cushy grass at the adjacent East Meadow. The Presidio is an urban national park and one of our favorite places (Interesting museums! Woodland hikes and bay vistas! Back-to-nature playground! Sea lions! A theater! Archaeological dig! Bowling!). It's a great place to start the day with old and new pals. Bring kites or frisbees, if you like, or ball gloves to have a catch. It's very close to the bus drop off at the Presidio transit center (just beyond the northernmost parking lot); hourly parking in the adjacent lot.
